MDF STEAMPUNK ALBUM

Hi everyone,
Today, I’m sharing my latest DT project for Daisy’s Jewels and Crafts - Mdf steampunk album. I used the Daisy’s 4 mdf square plaques with holes. For the papers I used Craft box’s “Steampunk Ciy” papers. These are stunning papers. I used some SnipArt and Dusty Attic mdf and chipboard for decoration, as well as some gorgeous Mitform, from Craft Box, and some of my own metal embellishments. I used chain to bind all the pages. GOTH BETTY

Hey everyone,
Today, I’m sharing my latest DT project for Daisy’s Jewels and Crafts - Goth Betty.
I did a ‘regular’ Betty Boop a while ago (see an earlier post) so I thought I’d decorate this one a little differently.
I had an old dressing gown, so cut it up and used for the dress part of this. I used ribbon for the basque and painted the rest with distress paints.
These come in a pack of two, and are so much fun to decorate as you wish. Why not have a go.
Have you joined our fan group on Facebook yet? You can get up to date blog posts from the DT and info on Hochanda shows, as well as showcase your own creations xx

SEALIFE PLAQUE

Morning all,
Today, I’m sharing my latest DT project for Daisy’s Jewels and Crafts - Sealife plaque
I love these plaques on stand or art boards, as some companies call them. They’re a perfect ‘blank canvas’ to create whatever you want. Sometimes, that can be a bit daunting, as there are no hint or leads to help guide you. Don’t be daunted, just unleash your creativity ❤️
I decided to do a ‘Sea themed’ board. I used some fab SnipArt and real shells. Daisy’s also have some green moss, which is amazing to give it a realistic look and feel.
So, go on, create a masterpiece. See you all in a week xx

STEAMPUNK TRIPTYCH

Morning all,
Today, I’m sharing my latest DT project for Daisy’s Jewels and Crafts - Steampunk Triptych. This is my last steampunk project for the steampunk month of May.
I used Daisy’s 3 plaques with joining holes, also referred to as a Triptych. I used a product called Tyvek, which I’ve had for a while, but totally forgotten I had lol. This is so fun to use! I painted it, then glued it to the already painted mdf. Then, using my heat gun, I melted the Tyvek. If you haven’t used this stuff before, I’d definitely recommend it!
I then coloured some greyboard clocks and cogs and arranged them on the frames.
For the inserts, I used Craft Box’s first paper collection ‘The other side’ These are stunning papers and the colours brought out the colours in the frame beautifully.
I joined the panels with TH mini book rings, to give it more urban/steampunk life ok. I hope you like it xx
